I remember when I didn’t go for walks. I was comfortable in my chair, warm and relaxed. As I got older though, I realized that I wasn’t getting exercise and it was affecting my health. I had formed some bad health habits. I knew I had to make some changes but still, my favorite chair was just so comfy.
One day something finally motivated me to get off my butt and walk my wife to work. She only worked a 5 minute walk from our home and besides, I enjoyed walking with her. I began to make a new habit and as I did I discovered some interesting things. After walking her to work for some time, I began to like it more. In fact, I was in no hurry to stop walking and so I lengthened the walk. Eventually I was going on hikes. One trail I liked to hike was 18 kilometers round trip.
