The Idea In a Nutshell:
We are consumed by results. We pursue our goals and when the results aren’t what we had hoped for we face anger, frustration, self-pity and a plethora of other negative emotions.
The results will almost never be exactly what we had hoped for.
A simple change of focus can set you free.
Change your focus to the process. Plan what you will think, do, say to take you closer to where you think you would like to be. Then execute your plan and sit back and relax.
Expect nothing. Simply wait and see what the results are.
Accept that whatever the results are is what is right and what is supposed to be.
Have no disappointment.
Find reasons for gratitude in the results whatever they may be.
Once you have your results you can re-access, plan again, execute again and sit back and wait for the results.
When you let go of your attachment and expectations of results, you will release yourself from a world of suffering.
